The Food Pantry depends upon HANDS volunteers for its operations
HANDS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established for the purpose of providing assistance to Middlesex County residents in time of need. It provides food, clothing, furniture, repairs and financial support to enable its clients to remain in their homes and keep their families safe. Over 30 churches in Middlesex county participate in this organization which is staffed by volunteers.
HANDS provides supplemental services for clients including monthly food distributions, clothing, and furniture and appliances to its clients. It also runs the Backpack Buddy program, emergency home repair, and builds ramps for clients with medical needs.
In order to be a client, you must be a Middlesex resident and have household income less than 200% of the US Department of Health and Human Services Federal Poverty Guidelines. Documentation is required and all clients must re-qualify annually.
